The Aquifer Box project is the result of meetings between Trifin Partners Chairman Andrew Fox and Aquaphor founder Joseph Shmidt since 2018, and their shared vision to build on AQUAPHOR’s 30-year experience as a leader in water technology in Eastern Europe, Russia and Israel to create state-of-the-art automated water solutions in standard shipping containers.

The initial product, the AQ2000, is being launched in 2020/21 and the first units are in production. The AQ2000 is based around a 20-foot container for ease of transport and logistics, and it produces 2000 litres of pure water per hour from practically any undrinkable water using the most modern technology of prefiltration, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, mineralization and chlorination. The second product will be the AQ10K, based on a 40-foot container, added to the range with a five-fold capacity increase over the AQ2000.

As a philanthropic venture, Aquifer Box pledges half its net profit to water charities.
